Karen has published two new compositions, Streetworks a collection of pieces for saxophone and I Dance for You, an original composition for accordion.

Hot from her stint as accordionist to the stars on the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour, Karen Street will be hitting the road again in March. On Sunday, 7th she will be appearing with her quartet at The Carriage House, Higham Ferrers to tell ‘Another Story’ when she will play songs from her CD of the same name.

– Karen Confirmed for Strictly Tour
Karen has confirmed that she will be undertaking her third tour with Strictly Come Dancing Live next year, when the hugely popular TV series takes to the road.
10 July 2009 – An Evening of Spontaneous Jazz
Wells Jazz Collective is offering Somerset music lovers something different with their second concert at the Little Theatre, Wells which takes place on 4 July 2009. ‘Streetworks’ is new collaboration between local musicians, Karen Street and Andy Tweed, percussionist Olalekan Babalola and bassist Thaddeus Kelly and the quartet is unusual in including an accordionist (Street) in its line up.

Accordion has only been used by Karen in her practice room and never in concert.

2 January 2009 – Street Launch for ‘The Giulietti Sound’
Keen accordionists should note that the history of the Giulietti sound has been captured by Sander Neijens in his new book and CD ‘ The Giulietti Sound’. Karen not only contributed her thoughts to Anders, she also played at the book’s launch event at Tiburg, Holland.
